As 2024 comes to a close and 2025 begins, I find myself reflecting on the moments I’ve captured behind the lens.

Photography has a way of preserving emotions and time, and telling stories that words sometimes can’t. These 10 photos are not just images—they’re memories, feelings, and pieces of my journey through 2024.

1. Rattlesnake on the Trail
   Desert hikes always bring surprises, and this photo of a rattlesnake was a moment of both awe and caution. Its coiled posture and piercing gaze reminded me of the beauty and power of the desert and whose home I was hiking in.
2. Saguaro Cactus on a Stormy Day
   There’s something mesmerizing about the Arizona desert during monsoon season. This photo of a towering saguaro silhouetted against dark, stormy skies captures the raw beauty and drama of the desert.
3. Herd of Longhorn Cattle
   While traveling through the Midwest, I came across a herd of longhorn cattle grazing underneath a tree on a hot summer day. Their majestic horns and calm presence made for a timeless shot that feels like a nod to Pioneer Settlement days.
4. Two Generations Holding Hands
   This photo of my father’s hand holding my son’s is perhaps the most meaningful of the year. It symbolizes legacy, love and the passage of time in a way that words could never fully express.
5. Lightning Bug on an Outstretched Hand
   This quiet moment with a lightning bug landing on my daughter’s hand was pure magic. It reminded me of the wonder we feel as children, discovering the small but incredible details of nature.
6. Flying Hummingbird
   Capturing a hummingbird mid-flight is no small feat, but this photo was worth the patience. Its vibrant colors and delicate wings are a reminder of the tiny miracles all around us.
7. San Xavier Mission
   The San Xavier Mission, with its stunning architecture and deep history, is always a favorite subject. This year, I managed to photograph it under the perfect light, showcasing its timeless beauty.
8. Mission Door
   Sometimes, it’s the small details that tell the biggest stories. This closeup of the Mission’s ornate wooden door highlights the craftsmanship and history etched into every panel.
9. Seal Resting on a Rock in the Pacific
   While exploring the coastline in Northern California, I spotted this seal lounging on a rock, completely at peace. The closeup captures the expression of its eyes and the rugged beauty of the ocean.
10. Waves Crashing on the Beach
    The power and rhythm of the ocean are endlessly captivating. This photo of waves crashing against the shore feels like a snapshot of nature’s unstoppable energy and serenity combined.

Each of these photos tells a story of where I’ve been, what I’ve experienced and how I see the world. As I look ahead to 2025, I can’t wait to continue this journey of storytelling through my lens.
